Elodie Russier-Decoster joins us as the newest senior hire, as part of our 2022 innovation plans.
We're delighted to announce the appointment of our first Senior Biodiversity and Water Expert, as part of market-leading plans to provide a new set of innovative applications and tools to help its customers on their sustainability journey: measuring and valuing performance and integrating sustainability into the decision-making process.
Reporting to VP Sustainability, Stefan Bojanic, Elodie Russier-Decoster will work as part of the global sustainability team, integrating biodiversity and water management best practice into our current and future products. We'll also partner with NGOs to ensure sustainability challenges like climate change and biodiversity are tackled in unison in reporting practices and strategies.
Previously, Elodie led biodiversity engagement and initiatives to private sector businesses at the International Union of Conservation of Nature (IUCN France). She worked in partnership with national and international companies to support the valuation of biodiversity, adoption of environmental policies and management. Prior to this, Elodie was a biodiversity officer at Lafarge France developing their company policy and action plans.
Emex now plans to provide our customers with a more holistic view of not only their operational performance but assessments, strategy, tangible actions and best practice.
Much of the focus has often been placed on carbon reduction and achieving net zero. Instead, businesses should be aiming to integrate all environmental and social aspects together and achieve net-positive footing. This involves placing more emphasis on valuing business’ impacts and dependencies on biodiversity and local water supplies, taking those aspects into account in the decision-making process and taking action such as nature-based solutions.

Elodie Russier-Decoster’s hire follows the appointment of three senior leads as part of our ambitious expansion plans – APAC & MENA CEO Sarah Saha, CRO Rich Waller, and CMO Hugh Allspaugh. We plan to continue to grow our global team by more than 150 people by the end of 2022.
